ISAIS 2026

June 18-19, 2026
East Lansing, Michigan

The Department of Accounting and Information Systems, Michigan State University, is pleased to announce the 14th International Symposium on Accounting Information Systems (ISAIS).

ISAIS is rotated annually between Michigan State University (USA), Hasselt University (Belgium) and the University of Melbourne (Australia).

About this edition

The 14th edition of ISAIS will take place in The James B. Henry Center for Executive Development, East Lansing, Michigan, United States of America

The Symposium will commence in the morning of Thursday June 18, followed by a half day on Friday June 19, 2026, and will be in person for all.

Emphasis and Program

The emphasis of ISAIS is on interaction, discussion, and debate in a friendly, supportive and relaxed atmosphere.  At the same time, the intent of ISAIS is to provide a global forum for bringing the leading AIS researchers and developing scholars together to discuss and critique leading-edge research in the field. Both early papers and papers closer to publication are welcome. We particularly encourage doctoral students and junior researchers to submit their research.

ISAIS is particularly interested in interdisciplinary papers that focus on the intersection of accounting and information systems drawing from accounting, psychology, cognitive science, behavioral science, economics, computer science, and/or information technology. High-quality, insightful, and theoretically sound studies of any type (action research, archival analysis, behavioral/experimental, design science, surveys, theory development, etc.) are encouraged.

The 2026 Symposium will tentatively include keynote addresses, research paper presentations and panels.  There will be an award for the Best Paper.
